DLR Gesellschaft für Raumfahrtanwendungen (GfR) mbH (DLR GfR)
DLR, is the national centre for aerospace, energy and transportation research of Germany. It has a wide range of research and development projects both in national and international partnerships. DLR GfR mbH is a fully owned subsidiary of DLR e.V. and has been providing over 10 years of commercial services in space and aviation. From the Galileo Control Centre located in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany (GCC-D), DLR GfR mbH provides full life-cycle distinctive management and technical services including requirements management, feasibility studies, design, procurement, integration verification and validation (IV&V) followed by hosting, operations and maintenance activities. These skills are provided in domains of spacecraft, aviation, ground infrastructure (incl. inter-site communication networks and navigation signal verifications on different sites) and security (incl. physical, RF and software security).
DLR GfR was the leader of the work on test and evaluation and focussed on aspects such as threat analysis and prioritization of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) ground segment. A further aim of its work was the development of cyber-attack detection and mitigation solutions.
